Update on the Rescue Operation
Positive Progress in the Rescue Operation
On the 10th day of the rescue operation, there has been a positive development that has brought a sigh of relief to the family members of the 40 trapped individuals. The administration was able to send an endoscopic camera inside the tunnel, providing hope and reassurance to those awaiting news.
The Story of Chaudhry
One of the family members we spoke to was Chaudhry, whose younger son is among those trapped inside. Chaudhry has already experienced the tragedy of losing his elder son two years ago due to electrocution while working at a construction company in Mumbai. When we spoke to Chaudhry, he mentioned that due to an eye problem, he has been unable to watch the video footage so far. However, the relief and satisfaction were evident on his face when he learned that he would finally be able to see his son after ten days of uncertainty.
A Ray of Hope
Chaudhry expressed happiness that the trapped individuals will now receive solid food, including apples, bananas, dalia, and kitcheri. This development has brought a ray of hope to the families, including Chaudhry, who are eagerly awaiting the safe rescue of their loved ones.
Optimism for the Future
We also spoke to other family members who share the same optimism and hope for a successful rescue. With the initial progress made, they believe it won't be long before all 41 individuals are safely brought out of the tunnel.
